Naissance Rosehip Oil - a beauty must-have
I discovered this amazing
oil a few years ago, almost by mistake.
Rosehip Virgin oil - Naissance |
I’ve always been
interested in natural products, lotions, oils and similar.
Very often I
found myself doing some online research to find out more about properties and benefits
of natural ingredients.
So, in a period where I was obviously obsessed with anti-age and anti-wrinkle natural remedies
(even though I didn’t need any), I bumped into this amazing
Rosehip Oil.
At first, I used it as one of the ingredients for my eye make-up remover (I will talk
about it in a different post, I promise), as one of the things I knew this oil
for by then was its anti-wrinkle properties. No more perfect use than that of a
gentle homemade eye make-up remover!
I didn’t see amazing and
extreme results straight away because, as I said, I didn’t really need any
anti-aging products. Now going to my thirties, I can definitely say that I’m sure that’s the ingredient
that helped slow down the aging process as I don’t have any wrinkle around my
eyes (only when I laugh probably!) and definitely I’ve never bought anti-aging
face creams.
But being an anti-wrinkle 'agent' is not all this oil can be.
Lately I found out how
such a good moisturizer it can be.

I know that applying oil
to your face does not always seem like a great idea, but let me tell you about my
everyday routine for the last couple of months.
I wake up every morning
and getting ready to go to work is not always the most fun part of my day. Especially if I wished I could have slept a couple of minutes (hours) more.
After washing my face, I apply
some Aloe Vera gel (a tiny bit) as we know that it has a lot of lenitive and
calming benefits and I found that it helps a lot specially for those areas on
my face that are subject to breakouts.
Usually Aloe Vera gel
tends to dry and leave the skin almost itchy as the gel gets absorbed, so
that’s when my ally come into action.
I use 4 or 5 drops of Organic Rosehip Oil, warming it up by rubbing my
hands and then gently pat it onto my skin at first then simply spread it all
over my face.
I usually try to focus on
the dry areas more, my neck, my eyes, my lips and any other if I have a special requirement.
Once I’m sure I’ve
covered all the areas; I use my fingertips to gently apply it under my eyes to ‘wake
them up’ and make sure the puffiness goes away.
Oils are usually
difficult to absorb and they take a bit more time than a normal day
cream.
So what I found out to be
helpful is to let it absorb for 5/10 minutes while I do something else.
I always drink a couple
of glasses of water (or lemon juice with water) every morning, so by doing it
at this point of the routine, it gives more time for the oil to be absorbed and
finally I can then easily apply some make-up.
What’s important to
notice here is that I don’t use foundation or other liquid base products such
as BB cream, CC creams etc. but instead I only use a bit of concealer to give
my eyes an even colour and then I simply apply some light face powder.
In this case the powder
will stay and cover all the areas on my face thanks to the oil acting as a
base.
I then continue my
getting-ready-to-work-routine as usual, so eye make-up, mascara, lipstick and some blush and all will
stay performing as they always have done (even before I started using oil as
moisturizer).
If you use foundation, I
would suggest to use this oil in the evening instead after you remove your
make-up and have washed your face thoroughly.
This way all the
benefits of this oil will still be effective and I am sure you will see your skin more radiant and healthy.
Another way of adding
Rosehip Oil to your everyday routine without having to get rid of your favourite face creams, is adding a couple of drops to your cream/lotion. I’m sure
you’ll be surprised.
Small summer trip tip, if the
weather is extremely hot, use a couple of drops less and if you want apply it
on wet skin.
I hope you enjoyed this
post, learned something new.
If you are going to try
this oil, please let me know how it goes and also leave any comments if you
want, it would be appreciated 😊
